CT Scanner is similar to normal X-ray machine, more than that it has more than one radiation source, so it is better for you to stay in other positions and not in the operator chair.

All screening equipment is safe to operate, even if you''re pregnant because they are all well shielded. Just obey all the manufacturers recommendations/instructions for their use.

Hi I have been working as screener for 3 years now, I''ve seen women passing in AMD and working as screening operators without having the least problem. Well using Heimann systems, so I do think that there are no problem while being pregnant.

It depends on following things
1. The condition lead curtain placed at input and output side. if it is damaged possibility of X-ray coming out is high
2. Whether the bags are placed continuous without giving any gap between bags so that possibility of X-ray coming out continuous is high.
3. There is a small leakage radiation, even though it is permitted accumulation of dose is not good, so the rotation of operators after some time is good.
